In our Five-Year Strategic Plan (2026–2030), Beautify Malawi (BEAM) Trust will prioritize Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) in health care facilities.
Our focus will encompass safe and reliable water supply, improved sanitation, effective hand hygiene, sound health care waste management, and comprehensive environmental cleaning across all service areas.
To drive this vision, we have adopted seven health facilities—Rumphi, Thyolo, Kamuzu Central, Balaka, Mzuzu Urban, Mangochi, and Bwaira—where we will work collaboratively to strengthen systems and ensure sustainable improvements in sanitation and hygiene standards.
Sustainability Commitments
- Construction of change rooms in selected schools
- Provide Handwashing buckets to all 6942 public primary schools in the country
- Provide waste bins for waste management
- Increase awareness and action on improved sanitation and hygiene
- Collaboration with environmental stakeholders on improving the status quo on sanitation initiatives
