On behalf of Beautify Malawi Trust and indeed on my own behalf, I am honored to unveil our dream; the five-year Strategic Plan whose pillars dwell on Health, Sanitation and Hygiene.
Our 2026 to 2030 Strategic plan is ambitious but we have belief and hope that it is possible and it can be done. Yes! We are dreaming not just in color, but in reality, that Malawi shall embrace beauty holistically.
We are dreaming of a nation that is free from preventable diseases and reduced maternal and neonatal mortality due to good hygiene practices.
It is a dream, yes, that Malawi shall have health facilities, schools and markets that are clean. It is not just a dream, but a possibility to have all our cities clean with proper refuse disposal.
As Beautify Malawi, we know that by investing in cleanliness and good sanitation, we are saving a lot of lives that could have otherwise perished. We are also saving resources meant to treat diseases in our hospitals.
I invite you to join us in this noble cause. Together, we can transform our environment, safeguard our health, and build a legacy of cleanliness that will flourish for generations to come. Let us make a beautiful Malawi our shared responsibility.

Known affectionately as the "Warm Heart of Africa," Malawi is a nation defined by its breathtaking landscapes—from the crystalline waters of Lake Malawi to its lush, mountainous horizons. But more than its scenery, it is the genuine hospitality and resilient spirit of its people that truly define this southern African gem.
However, as the population grows, this vibrant nation faces environmental and social hurdles from the pressures of deforestation, inadequate hygiene facilities and a reduction in sanitation practices.
In 2014, the Beautify Malawi (BEAM) Trust was founded to address some of these challenges. What began as a beautification initiative has grown into a comprehensive national movement.
With support from stakeholders and government, Beautify Malawi Trust is building a cleaner, healthier, dignified and prosperous Malawi.
